Each IMPACT group makes common commitments to address the core challenges of their sector. Heads of State personally champion gender equality and launch a nationwide HeForShe campaign. Companies sign the Women’s Empowerment Principles, implement Principle #7—‘measure and publicly report on progress to achieve gender equality’—and launch the HeForShe API to mobilize employees globally. Universities implement mandatory gender sensitization on campus and work with other universities to address gender-based violence.
The framework document has been developed as a general guide to UN Women’s HeForShe IMPACT 10x10x10 pilot initiative. It offers a background on the initiative, as well as guidelines, criteria, and suggested implementation activities for each type of organizational champion. It is also an information source for those organizations that are considering joining our IMPACT 10x10x10 Champions Group.
