To mark International Women’s Day, Fenerbahçe, one of the largest and most popular sports clubs in Turkey and a champion for the HeForShe campaign, and UN Women spotlighted the importance of women’s equal participation and empowerment in sports.

August 2026 — UN Women and Bocconi University have joined forces to advance gender equality through research, education and advocacy, with a focus on engaging men and boys as allies for change.

The new partnership brings together UN Women’s HeForShe solidarity movement and Bocconi’s expertise in social sciences and gender research. Together, they will strengthen the evidence base on gender equality, promote dialogue on transforming harmful gender norms and support action towards a more equal world.

Wednesday 22 April 2026 - Police forces across the United Kingdom convened in South Wales on 22 April 2026 for a national HeForShe event, marking a renewed phase of collaboration between UK Policing and UN Women’s HeForShe initiative. During the gathering, Chief Constable Jeremy Vaughan, UK Policing Lead for HeForShe and Chief Constable of South Wales Police, announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding extending the partnership for a further five years.
