To mark International Women’s Day, Fenerbahçe, one of the largest and most popular sports clubs in Turkey and a champion for the HeForShe campaign, and UN Women spotlighted the importance of women’s equal participation and empowerment in sports.

In the bustling mining towns of Orapa and Letlhakane, 32-year-old Oreneile Archie is building more than a business, she is building a legacy of women’s empowerment through her company, Eve Textiles. Specialising in corporate wear, PPE, and school uniforms, Eve Textiles is proudly women-led, intentionally designed to create opportunities for women in a field where they are often underrepresented.

Madrid, 30 January 2026 — At the “Mujeres liderando la ONU del siglo XXI” conference held in Madrid, the President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, called for the next United Nations Secretary-General to be a woman, ideally from Latin America and the Caribbean. His remarks reinforced the urgent need to advance gender equality at the highest levels of global leadership.

December 2025 - UK Policing, a proud member of the HeForShe Alliance, is taking concrete steps to embed gender equality in policing culture through the Barbershop Toolkit. In December the UK Policing team delivered an in-person presentation to a force of 22 attendees, all new to HeForShe, to introduce the movement and explore what it means to be a HeForShe Ally.
